This website is prepared as part of Dr. Asli Özyürek's larger research project on TID that investigates the use of space in the grammar of TID and its characteristics relative to both the other sign languages of the world and to cospeech gestures of Turkish speakers.

This website has multiple aims:

• To contribute to the research on Turkish Sign Language.

• To provide a start-up archive/dictionary on TID and make it available to a large population who might want to use it for education and research.

• To provide online information about TID for the deaf population and their families who try to learn TID.
